Chase Payment Solutions Merchant Services Review 2027
How we make money: CanComCo earns a commission from some POS and payments vendors when a business we refer signs up. Commission never changes a rating or a rate we publish.
Chase Payment Solutions at a Glance
| 2.6% + 10¢ tap, dip or swipe. 2.9% + 25¢ e-commerce. Keyed and payment links are published twice and the two figures disagree: 3.5% + 10¢ on the Merchant fees page, 3.5% + 15¢ in the product page FAQ. | |
| No amount published. Chase states only that "Monthly fees may apply to certain products and pricing plans." | |
| Not published. No term, no early termination fee and no cancellation notice appears on either page. | |
| None published. Invoicing is included at no additional monthly cost once an account exists. | |
| No list price published for the Chase POS Terminal, the Chase Card Reader or the standalone terminals. A limited time promotion takes $100 off the POS Terminal with code POS100. | |
| As soon as same day at no extra cost, into a Chase Business Complete Banking account. | |
| United States. The product page sells "anywhere in the U.S." and names no other market. | |
| A US business already on Chase Business Complete Banking that wants one login across payments, banking and payroll. | |
| Businesses outside the US, and anyone who needs the monthly fee and hardware price in writing before a sales call. | |
| 15 third-party reviews in total, on an unclaimed G2 profile whose product description is for a different Chase product. |
Every figure above verified against chase.com in November 2026.
Chase Payment Solutions Pricing, What You'll Actually Pay
Chase publishes its card rates, which several review sites still report as unpublished. The rates sit in a collapsed FAQ answer on the product page and in three callouts on a separate Merchant fees page. What Chase does not publish is the monthly software fee, the hardware price or the contract term, and those are the three numbers that decide the real cost.
Published card rates
| Transaction type | Rate | Where Chase publishes it |
|---|---|---|
| Tap, dip or swipe | 2.6% + 10¢ | Product page FAQ and Merchant fees page |
| E-commerce | 2.9% + 25¢ | Product page FAQ and Merchant fees page |
| Manually keyed and payment links | 3.5% + 10¢ or 3.5% + 15¢ | Merchant fees page says +10¢. Product page FAQ says +15¢. |
| Virtual terminal | 3.5% + 10¢ | Merchant fees page |
| Tap to Pay on phone | 2.6% + 10¢ | Merchant fees page FAQ |
The keyed-rate conflict is Chase's, not ours. Get the figure written into your merchant agreement before you sign.
What Chase does not publish
| Cost | Status |
|---|---|
| Monthly software fee | "Monthly fees may apply to certain products and pricing plans." No amount. |
| Chargeback fee | No amount. Chase says disputes "can cost you time and money." |
| Hardware list price | None. Card reader pricing is deferred to the QuickAccept page. |
| Contract term and termination fee | Not mentioned on either page. |
| PCI and statement fees | Not mentioned on either page. |
Custom pricing, including interchange-plus, is available by processing volume through a Payments Advisor on 1-877-843-5690. Basic pricing charges one rate for all card types. Custom pricing varies the fee by card type, which can move your effective rate in either direction.
Real monthly cost
A shop doing $20,000 a month in card volume across 1,000 in-person sales, average ticket $20:
Percentage: $20,000 × 0.026 = $520.00
Per transaction: 1,000 × $0.10 = $100.00
Known processing cost: $620.00 a month. Effective rate: $620 ÷ $20,000 = 3.10%
Same shop on Square's free plan at 2.6% + 15¢: $520.00 + (1,000 × $0.15) = $670.00, an effective 3.35%. Chase is $50.00 a month cheaper, or $600.00 a year, on processing alone.
Add to the Chase figure: an unpublished monthly software fee, and the Chase POS Terminal at an unpublished price. Neither can be estimated here, so treat $620.00 as a floor and not a quote.

Chase Payment Solutions Features, What Works and What Doesn't
This review is built from Chase's published pages and third-party review listings. No one at CanComCo has operated the product, so nothing below describes a screen we have used. Where Chase does not document a feature, we say it is unconfirmed rather than assume it exists.
Payment acceptance and checkout
Chase covers the full set of acceptance methods a small US merchant needs: in-person card on the POS Terminal or Card Reader, Tap to Pay on phone with no reader at all, a virtual terminal for manual entry, invoicing, payment links and a gateway for an existing storefront. Tap to Pay on phone matters most here, because it drops the cost of starting to zero hardware. Chase prices it at the same 2.6% + 10¢ as its own terminal, so there is no rate penalty for going readerless.
Product catalog and inventory
Chase documents product and inventory management in the POS app and on the POS Terminal, with low-stock alerts. Multi-location inventory sync, product variants and barcode scanning are not confirmed in Chase's published material. A retailer running sizes and colors across two stores should get all three demonstrated on a call before committing.
Reporting
A real-time reporting dashboard is documented, and Chase folds business analytics into the same login as banking and payroll. The depth of that reporting, custom report building and export formats are not published.
Tip management
Tip management with pooling is documented in the POS app. For a counter-service cafe or a salon, that plus Tap to Pay on phone is a workable stack.
What is not confirmed
Split checks, kitchen display integration, built-in online ordering, table management and floor plans, appointment booking, customer profiles and CRM, a loyalty program, gift cards, employee time tracking, multi-user permissions, offline mode, multi-currency and public API access are all absent from the published material we read. For a full-service restaurant, the missing table management and KDS are disqualifying unless Chase routes you to TouchBistro instead.
Integrations
Chase names its partners rather than running an open marketplace: TouchBistro for restaurants, Silver Essentials by NCR Voyix for retail, InstaMed for healthcare billing, FreedomPay as middleware, Authorize.net as the gateway, Gusto powering Chase Payroll, and QuickBooks Online for accounting sync. Chase claims "hundreds of integrations" but publishes no directory, and routes compatibility questions to a Payments Advisor. No e-commerce platform is named anywhere, including on the Integrations page. If your stack depends on a specific platform, that is a call, not a web page.
Integration list verified against chase.com/business/payments/integrated-payments in November 2026.
Hardware Options and Setup Experience
Chase sells four acceptance options and prices none of them. The Chase POS Terminal takes payments, prints and sends receipts and manages products and inventory. The Chase Card Reader pairs with the Chase POS app and won a Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2027. Tap to Pay on phone needs no hardware at all. Standalone wireless terminals are offered as a growth step with no models named.
The only number Chase attaches to hardware is a discount: $100 off the POS Terminal with code POS100, a limited time promotion. A discount implies a list price Chase does not show. Treat the POS100 code as temporary and do not build a budget on it.
Bring-your-own-device works in part, since Tap to Pay on phone and the Chase POS app run on a merchant's own handset. Chase does not publish which handsets it supports, so confirm your model before you plan around it. Devices are ordered through Chase Business Online after sign-in, and QuickAccept is activated from the Chase Mobile app or Chase Business Online. Chase publishes no setup timeline, so we give none.
The real bundle is not hardware. It is Chase Business Complete Banking plus QuickAccept, which is where the same day deposit and the fee waiver live. Price the bundle.
Customer Support, What to Expect When Things Break
Chase publishes a 24/7 merchant support claim on the product page, which is more than most processors in this category commit to in writing. Prospects and pricing questions go to a Payments Advisor on 1-877-843-5690, and self-service runs through the Chase support center.
What Chase does not publish: channel-by-channel hours, which languages are supported, escalation paths, a status page or an uptime figure. A 24/7 claim without named channels is a claim about availability, not about resolution.
There is no independent support score for this product. Capterra has no listing for Chase Payment Solutions or Chase Merchant Services, and Capterra is the only source we found that scores customer service separately. Chase's Trustpilot page scores 1.2 from 2,874 reviews, and that page rates consumer banking, accounts, credit cards, mortgages and branch service. It is not a merchant services support score and we do not treat it as one.
Chase Payment Solutions Pros and Cons
Pros
- Rates are published, and competitive. 2.6% + 10¢ in person matches Global Payments across all three of its plans and comes in 5¢ per transaction under Square's free plan.
- Same day deposits at no extra cost. Funds can land the same day with no fast-funding fee, when they go to a Chase Business Complete Banking account. Most processors charge for faster access to your own money.
- A waived Monthly Service Fee at a low bar. Chase Business Complete Banking clients processing over $2,000 a month in card payments can have that account's Monthly Service Fee waived. A single-chair salon clears $2,000 a month, so this is not an enterprise perk. Chase footnotes the fee amount rather than stating it, so we quote no dollar saving.
- Zero hardware required to start. Tap to Pay on phone accepts contactless at the same 2.6% + 10¢ as the terminal.
- 24/7 merchant support, in writing. Published rather than implied.
- One login across payments, banking, analytics and payroll. For an owner who already banks at Chase, that consolidation is the product.
Cons
- The monthly fee is a blank. "Monthly fees may apply to certain products and pricing plans" is not a price. You cannot build a total cost of ownership without it.
- No hardware list price anywhere. A $100 promo code on an unknown number tells you nothing.
- No contract term, no termination fee, no cancellation policy published. For a bank-sold merchant agreement, silence on term length is material. Ask for it in writing.
- The third-party review record is thin and mislabeled. 15 reviews on G2, on an unclaimed profile whose product description is for the Orbital Payment Gateway, a different Chase product. Nobody is maintaining that listing.
- Two published keyed rates that contradict each other. 3.5% + 10¢ and 3.5% + 15¢, on two Chase pages, at the same time.
- The best benefits are hostage to the bank account. Remove Chase Business Complete Banking and both headline advantages vanish, leaving a processor with a mid-market rate and no published monthly fee.
This profile suits a US owner already banking at Chase who values consolidation and same day cash. It frustrates anyone who needs a full cost breakdown before a sales call, and anyone running a full-service restaurant or multi-location retail.
What Real Users Say About Chase Payment Solutions
The independent review record for this product is the weakest part of the case for it, and that is a finding rather than a gap in our research.
| Source | Score | Reviews | Scope | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| G2 (Chase Payment Solutions) | 3.9 / 5 | 15 | Profile is unclaimed, and its product description is for the Orbital Payment Gateway, a different Chase product. Seller listed as Chase Paymentech. | Nov 4, 2027 |
| Capterra | No listing | None | No listing exists for Chase Payment Solutions or Chase Merchant Services. We record the absence rather than substitute a reseller site. | Nov 4, 2027 |
| Trustpilot (chase.com) | 1.2 / 5 | 2,874 | Consumer banking: accounts, credit cards, mortgages, deposit holds, branch and phone service. Not merchant services. Excluded from our rating. | Nov 1, 2027 |
| Apple App Store (Chase POS) | Not researched | Not researched | Not covered in this research pass. | Not researched |
| Google Play (Chase POS) | Not researched | Not researched | Not covered in this research pass. | Not researched |
How the 3.9 was calculated: the unweighted mean of every product-specific published score we found, rounded to one decimal. Only one qualified, so 3.9 ÷ 1 = 3.9. Trustpilot is excluded because it rates the bank, not the product. No category sub-scores appear on this page because no source publishes any for this product, and we do not invent them.
Star distribution on G2, recorded November 1, 2026: 46% five star, 20% four star, 20% three star, 13% two star. Not re-confirmed on November 4, when the distribution was not visible on the page.
No recurring themes published. We did not read the 15 individual G2 reviews, and 15 reviews on an unclaimed, mislabeled profile cannot support a claim about what users consistently praise or criticize.
Best Chase Payment Solutions Alternatives
If Chase is not the right fit, three alternatives are worth a look. Prices below were verified in November 2026.
-
Square POS
Consider this if you want every number in writing before you talk to anyone.
Publishes four plans at $0, $49 and $149 a month plus custom, with the card rate printed against each one. 30-day free trial on Plus and Premium. No bank switch required. You give up: the Chase banking bundle, same day deposits at no extra cost and the Monthly Service Fee waiver. And note Square's free plan runs 2.6% + 15¢ in person, 5¢ above Chase.
from $0 a month
-
Helcim
Consider this if you want interchange-plus pricing, or you operate in Canada.
$0 monthly fee, no setup fee, no statement fee, and published interchange-plus rates starting at interchange + 0.40% + 8¢ in person below $50,000 a month, with volume discounts applied automatically off a three-month average. Serves the US and Canada, which Chase Payment Solutions does not. You give up: a branch network and a single login across banking and payments. Interchange-plus totals depend on live interchange, so your effective rate cannot be quoted in advance the way Chase's 2.6% + 10¢ can.
from $0 a month
-
Global Payments
Consider this as the closest like-for-like: a large processor selling POS plus payments to small business.
Three plans at $0, $42 and $129 a month, all at 2.6% + $0.10 in person, so the arithmetic is identical to Chase with the software fee made visible. You give up: a good reputation. Capterra scores Global Payments Integrated 2.4 from 54 reviews. Global Payments also states that contract terms and any termination fees vary by whether you buy direct or through a partner.

Chase Payment Solutions FAQ
How much does Chase Payment Solutions charge per transaction?
2.6% + 10¢ for tap, dip and swipe, 2.9% + 25¢ for e-commerce, and 3.5% for manually keyed transactions and payment links. Chase publishes the keyed per-transaction amount as 10¢ on its Merchant fees page and 15¢ in its product page FAQ, so confirm which applies to you in writing.
Does Chase Payment Solutions have a monthly fee?
Chase does not publish an amount. Its Merchant fees page states that "Monthly fees may apply to certain products and pricing plans." Ask the Payments Advisor for the figure before you sign.
How much does the Chase POS Terminal cost?
No list price is published. A limited time promotion offers $100 off with code POS100 at checkout, which implies a price Chase does not show.
Is there a contract or an early termination fee?
Neither is published. No term length, termination fee or cancellation notice appears on the product page or the Merchant fees page. For a bank-sold merchant agreement, get the term in writing.
Do you need a Chase bank account?
For the two headline benefits, yes. Same day deposits at no extra cost and the waived Monthly Service Fee both require a Chase Business Complete Banking account.
How fast are Chase deposits?
As soon as same day, at no extra cost, when funds go to a Chase business checking account. Chase charges no fast-funding fee for this.
Is Chase Payment Solutions available in Canada?
This product is sold in the United States. Chase's product page sells "anywhere in the U.S." and names no other market, so Canadian businesses should look at Moneris, Helcim or Square Canada instead.
What does Chase Payment Solutions integrate with?
Named partners are TouchBistro, Silver Essentials by NCR Voyix, InstaMed, FreedomPay, Authorize.net, Gusto and QuickBooks Online. Chase claims hundreds of integrations but publishes no directory and no e-commerce platform names.
Is Chase Payment Solutions Right for Your Business?
Chase Payment Solutions merchant services is a bank's payments product, and it should be judged as one. The card rate is ordinary in the best sense: 2.6% + 10¢ matches the large processors and beats Square's free plan by a nickel a sale. What you are actually buying is the adjacency, same day cash into a Chase Business Complete Banking account at no extra cost and a waived Monthly Service Fee once card volume clears $2,000 a month. If you already bank at Chase in the US, that is a real, specific, compounding benefit and the product earns a look.
Look elsewhere if you need a full cost picture before a phone call, because the monthly software fee, the hardware price and the contract term are all unpublished. Look elsewhere if you run a full-service restaurant or multi-location retail, since table management, kitchen display and multi-location inventory sync are undocumented. Look elsewhere if you are outside the United States. And weigh the fact that 15 reviews on an unclaimed, mislabeled listing is almost no independent evidence at all.
Commission disclosure applies. Rating is 3.9 / 5 as of November 2026, derived from published third-party scores by the method in How we review.
