Submitting a DMCA Copyright Infringement Notice
To ask us to remove or disable access to material you believe infringes your copyright, send a written notice with the following information.
1. Identification of the Copyrighted Work
Identify the copyrighted work you believe was infringed. If your notice covers multiple copyrighted works on CloudBasedPOSSystem.com, you may provide a representative list of those works.
2. Identification of the Allegedly Infringing Material
Identify the material you believe infringes your copyright, with enough information for us to locate it. Where you can, include:
- The exact page URL
- The article title
- The image location
- A screenshot
- The relevant section of the page
- Any other details that help us find the material
A general statement such as “your website is using my content” may not give us enough to evaluate the request.
3. Your Contact Information
Give us enough information to contact you, including:
- Full name
- Company or organization, if applicable
- Mailing address
- Telephone number
- Email address
4. Good-Faith Statement
Your notice must include a statement substantially similar to:
“I have a good-faith belief that the use of the material described in this notice is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
5. Accuracy and Authority Statement
Your notice must also include a statement substantially similar to:
“I declare, under penalty of perjury, that the information contained in this notice is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”
6. Signature
Include your physical or electronic signature, or the signature of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner.

What Happens After We Receive a Notice
When we receive a substantially complete notice, we may:
- Review the notice for completeness.
- Identify the material described in the complaint.
- Ask for more information where needed.
- Review relevant licensing, ownership, fair-use or authorization information.
- Remove or disable access to the material when required or appropriate.
- Notify the user or party responsible for the material, where applicable.
- Keep records of the complaint and our response.
- Take further action where infringement is repeated or serious.
We aim to handle legitimate copyright complaints without delay.
Submitting a notice doesn't mean the material will be removed for good. Copyright disputes can involve licensing, fair use, ownership, misidentification and other legal questions.
Counter-Notification
If material you submitted or uploaded to CloudBasedPOSSystem.com was removed or disabled after a DMCA notice, and you believe the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you can submit a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification should include:
1. Your Signature
Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the Removed Material
Identify the material that was removed or disabled and where it appeared before removal. Where you can, give the original URL or other details that help us identify it.
3. Statement Under Penalty of Perjury
Include a statement substantially similar to:
“I declare, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.”
4. Your Contact Information
Provide:
- Full name
- Address
- Telephone number
- Email address
5. Consent to Jurisdiction and Service
Your counter-notification must include the jurisdiction and service-of-process statements the DMCA requires: consent to the jurisdiction of the US Federal District Court for the judicial district where your address is located, and agreement to accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
If your address is outside the United States, you consent instead to the jurisdiction of any judicial district in which we may be found.
What Happens After a Counter-Notification
10–14 business days until restoration after a valid counter-notification
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may send a copy to the person who submitted the original complaint.
Where the DMCA applies, we restore the removed material no sooner than 10 business days and no later than 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notification, unless the original complainant first tells us they've filed a court action seeking an order to keep the material down.
Repeat Infringers
CloudBasedPOSSystem.com doesn't tolerate repeated copyright infringement.
Where our services let users, account holders, contributors, partners or others upload, store, publish or provide content, we may restrict, suspend or terminate access, in appropriate circumstances, for repeat infringers of others' intellectual property rights.
We may consider:
- Number of valid infringement notices
- Nature and seriousness of the alleged infringement
- Repeated use of unauthorized material
- Responses to previous warnings
- Evidence of intentional infringement
- Counter-notifications and dispute outcomes
- Other relevant circumstances
We reserve the right to remove content or restrict accounts where needed to protect intellectual property rights or comply with applicable law.
False or Misleading Copyright Claims
Copyright notices and counter-notifications are legal communications. Don't knowingly submit false claims.
Under US law, anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
Confirm the material infringes before you submit a notice or counter-notification.
Fair Use and Other Authorized Uses
Not every use of copyrighted material infringes copyright. Depending on the circumstances, a use may be permitted through:
- Authorization from the copyright owner
- A license
- Fair use
- Fair dealing
- Public-domain status
- Statutory exceptions
- Other applicable legal rights or permissions
For example, reviews and comparisons may include limited product names, screenshots, quotations, logos or other material for commentary, criticism, research, identification or analysis, where the law permits.
Owning a copyright doesn't make every use of the work unlawful.
Product Screenshots, Logos and Vendor Materials
CloudBasedPOSSystem.com reviews and discusses third-party POS platforms, software, payment services, hardware and other business technology. In that coverage, we may use limited:
- Product screenshots
- Company names
- Product names
- Logos
- Interface images
- Marketing materials
- Product descriptions
- Documentation excerpts
where authorized or otherwise permitted by law.
Third-party trademarks, logos, copyrighted materials and other intellectual property remain the property of their owners.
A third-party product or brand appearing on CloudBasedPOSSystem.com doesn't, by itself, imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership or affiliation.
If you hold rights in specific material and believe our use is unauthorized, contact us using the copyright contact details on this page.
Copyright Complaints From Vendors
POS providers, software companies, payment processors, hardware manufacturers and other vendors can submit legitimate copyright complaints through the process above.
The copyright process isn't a tool to suppress:
- Accurate criticism
- Negative reviews
- Product comparisons
- Legitimate commentary
- Factual reporting
- Lawfully used quotations
- Properly licensed material
- Other lawful editorial content
Send commercial disagreements or concerns about a review to our editorial team, not as a copyright claim, unless there's a genuine copyright issue.
For factual corrections, contact pos@
