Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated:
We may earn a commission when your business buys a POS system from a vendor we refer you to. Our reviews and rankings aren't for sale.
The Plain Version
How we earn money. Canada Communications Company (CanComCo) runs CloudBasedPOSSystem.com. CanComCo helps businesses find the right POS vendor. When a business we refer buys a POS system from that vendor, the vendor may pay CanComCo a commission. Some of the POS providers we review may pay us this way.
Affiliate links. The site doesn't currently use commission-generating affiliate links. If we add them, every page that contains one will say so.
What it costs you. Our service is free for businesses. If we connect you with a vendor, the vendor pays us the commission, at no cost to you.
Other revenue. We may also earn money from labeled advertising and sponsored content. See Advertise / Partner With Us.
How This Affects Our Reviews
Commissions don't decide our reviews, scores or rankings. POS providers, advertisers and partners can't buy:
- Favorable reviews
- Guaranteed rankings
- Higher scores
- Removal of legitimate criticism
We keep commercial relationships separate from editorial decisions. We won't change an accurate assessment because a provider disagrees with it or threatens to withdraw a commercial benefit. See our Editorial Policy and How We Review.
Programs We Participate In
CanComCo works with selected POS providers.
Regulatory Compliance
We aim to follow Canada's rules on disclosing material connections in advertising and endorsements: the Competition Act, as enforced by the Competition Bureau, and the Canadian Code of Advertising Standards, including Ad Standards' disclosure guidelines.
When we target other markets, we'll add the rules that apply there, such as the US FTC Endorsement Guides and the UK CAP Code.
